Rowan has two games on the schedule for this weekend. On Saturday, the Profs are home to host rival and top ranked Penn State in the first meeting of the season. Rowan lost in OT the last time these two clubs met and should be a very entertaining game. Game time 8:15 PM at

Hollydell. On Sunday, Rowan is on the road to play St. Joseph's University at the Skatium. This is another league matchup and the first of the year. The Profs have struggled in the past at the Skatium and hope to play solid to stay a top the rankings.

The Profs are coming of their 11-3 victory over Rutgers on Friday night as the only game of the weekend for them. The Profs are riding a three game winning streak.

In other news, Rowan is also proud to announce that they will play in their 5th outdoor game as they will return to Navesink Country Club in January to play Villanova University. After 1 year removed from the Pond Classic where they last played Montclair, Rowan is ecstatic to return and play at a place where they skated in their first four outdoor games including the first ever on in ACHA history. The pond classic is scheduled for January 11, 2015 with more information coming at a later date.

The 2014/2015 rankings will be released soon as the first ranking period ends on October 31. Rowan Ice Hockey was ranked #8 in the Southeast region at the end of last year and hope to be in the top 10 again as the enter the last weekend with an overall record of 4-1-2.

Rowan once again participated in the D2 ACHA Showcase which was held in Mentor (Clevaland), Ohio this October and included teams from around the nation. Rowan played three teams that are usually not on their schedule and which are ahead of them in rankings . On

Friday evening, the Profs suited up against Lindenwood Bellville as a first ever meeting between the two clubs. The team from Bellville hasn't lost a game and is so deep in talent that makes the team look like a NCAA team. The Profs lost 10-0, however they got to experience to play against one of the best teams in the nation if not the best. On Saturday, the Profs faced off against regional opponent Dayton. Rowan looked good against Dayton as they came out with a victory however their next game against regionally ranked Toledo was a little different and much tougher. The Profs gave up a late 3rd period lead before they finally won it OT. It was a great learning experience and even though they didn't come out of the showcase 3-0 like they did in 2012, the team showed they are a top team in the Southeast.

Rowan celebrated their 35th year as an organization during the 2011/2012 season. It has been a great 35 years and we hope to continue the great tradition moving forward. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed over the years and who have made this the most popular

sport on campus.
