Welcome to the Rowan University Ice Hockey (RIH) website! Home of the Profs and a representative of the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). The University is located in the greater Philadelphia area in Glassboro, New Jersey just over the Delaware River and just 45 minutes from the shore.

2008 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Rowan has concluded their 2007/2008 season by winning the league in a stellar fashion over rival College of New Jersey. Down by two goals in the second period, the Profs came back to secure their first league championship in their second year in the Great Northeast Conference. After a great run in 2007 when Rowan lost in the finals, it was a sweeter moment for the entire team. Video Highlights of the game and the entire playoffs could be seen below in the post game recaps.
Rowan finishes with a record of 15-1-1-1 in the league, 22-4-2-1 overall with a 16th rank in the Northeast. A lot was accomplished since the team got together in September, all the hard work and dedication can be celebrated being on top. Go Profs!
In an announcement made earlier this year, Rowan has moved to the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey
Association (MACHA). The move came after weeks of speculation and gives Rowan a great
way to continue their winning tradition. Rowan joins the 10 team MACHA conference
that includes Wagner, UMBC, Seton Hall, St. Joseph's, and Rider among others.
"Adding Rowan will give us (MACHA) a quality program that has been working
hard the past few years to get to this level," MACHA President Les Schriber said. "They
bring some great local rivalries into our league setting and I expect them to have an
immediate impact." Rowan hopes to make that immediate impact and looks forward to the new challenge starting this fall.

Rowan was in Rochester NY this year for the annual Division II Showcase. Among the 16 teams that participated in the D2 division, Rowan played the local team RIT, University of Kentucky, |

and Liberty University out of Virginia. Rowan got an impressive victory over RIT in the first game. Their second game against Kentucky was a small disappointment loosing to a very strong ranked Kentucky. In the last game, all came together as Rowan put up 5 unanswered goals at the end to pull of a great victory in what was an unusual game of different proportions. Over all 2 out-of 3 for the Profs!
