SINCE 1976

Welcome to the Rowan University Ice Hockey official website! Home of the Division II Profs and a representative of Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey. The University is located in the greater Philadelphia area in Glassboro, New Jersey just over the Delaware River and just 45 minutes from the shore.

The Rowan Ice Hockey program would like to thank all of the supporters who came out this year as it was another great year of Profs hockey. Summer is in full swing and while the season is 3 months away, there is no rushing back from the beach just yet. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer!
Rowan was ranked #8 in the ACHA's final Southeast Rankings.
  • 2014 PLAYOFFS
The #2 ranked Profs had a good showing at the 2014 MACH Playoffs as they beat their rivals Rider in the quarterfinals 7-1 before losing in overtime to #1 seeded Penn State in the semifinals by a final of 5-4.
  • 2015 SHOWCASE
The 2014/2015 ACHA showcase is being held in Cleveland, Ohio and the Rowan Profs hope to be part of the few teams that get to go. As the 2015 schedule has not been released, it is exciting to know that there will be some great opponents this year. Keep an eye on the schedule to be released by August.
The Rowan Ice Hockey will once again hold a prospect summer camp for incoming prospects and returning players. The camp will begin Sunday, July 27 and go until August 24.
If you are an incoming student for the spring or fall 2014 semester and you are interested in playing ice hockey, you can contact the coaching staff about your desires. We encourage all players to fill out the recruiting form as well.
Rowan University has been expanding with new buildings and beautification projects as the current Quintessential College Town project called Rowan Boulevard is almost complete. The school also has a new four year medical school in partnership with Cooper Hospital. For more information you can go HERE.
Rowan University has again been ranked among the best in the nation as it received the 23rd spot in the annual "America's Best Colleges" issue of US News & World Report. This is the 11th straight year Rowan has been on the top list and is also on the Princeton Review's "Best Northern College" list. For more information you can go HERE.

Rowan announces the 2014 Prospect Camp to start Sunday July 27, 2014. Rowan Ice Hockey holds a prospect camp every year for incoming prospects as well as returning players. The camp is not part of tryouts or a showcase for picking the team however it does help players in showing

what they have and seeing where they would fit. All prospective players who will be or want to tryout in the fall should try to attend at least one or more of the camp sessions. The first session this Sunday begins at 8:30 PM and all related information will be given to everyone at that time.

The summer is flying by as we are less than 3 months before the first puck drop! But there is no hurry getting back from the beach just yet. The 2014/2015 Schedule will be posted shortly as well. This year looks to be another great year with the Profs facing off against top ACHA opponents from last year as well as being part of the ACHA Showcase in Ohio.

The Rowan 2013/2014 team would like to congratulate this years graduating seniors. Senior forward Pete McDonald has played for the Profs for the last 3 seasons. Senior forward and Associate Captain Tim Larkin also played 3 seasons for the Profs after transfering in from NCAA D3. Finally, senior forward and Captain John Paulo has played 5 seasons for the Profs. All seniors will be missed. Congratulations!

Rowan thanks IYM Sports Radio for another great year of live broadcasting. This was the 4th straight season and Rowan looks forward to the 5th in the upcoming season. Thank you Tom Willms and Matt Schwarz!

The final 2013/2014 rankings were released by the ACHA and Rowan Ice Hockey was ranked #8 in the Southeast region. Even with the slight slide, this year was one of the best for Rowan. The Profs were one of nine Mid-Atlantic teams out of the top 15 that are ranked.

Rowan's coaches John Caulfield and Mike Husek celebrated the 100th overall win on November 9, 2012. Everyone at Rowan Ice Hockey would like to congratulate both coaches on a great milestone and for what they have been able to achieve.

The Rowan University campus newspaper, The Whit, has featured the ice hockey program in their top stories. The program is one of the best fan supported sports on campus and we appreciate The Whit for their involvement. EJ Aguado covers the team and we certainly appreciate

his time. To read any of the articles please log on to the Whit or click HERE. The articles can also be found in our Media Zone.

Rowan celebrated their 35th year as an organization during the 2011/2012 season. It has been a great 35 years and we hope to continue the great tradition moving forward. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed over the years and who have made this the most popular

sport on campus.

For any Alumni of Rowan or Glassboro State, Rowan has an Alumni Page to recognize and salute past players and members who wore the Brown and Gold colors. Alumni are welcome to join the network and check out what we have to offer on the Alumni link. To celebrate the heritage,

Rowan has an annual event to celebrate the players and their families. The first annual Alumni Weekend was held in October 2008 and became a big success to make it into an annual event. This year, Alumni Weekend will be held on September 26th and September 27th. For more alumni information, please visit the Alumni page HERE.

We are looking for SPONSORS to sponsor the team for the 2014/2015 season. We also want to thank our current sponsors for all their help.
