Welcome to the Rowan University Ice Hockey (RIH) website! Home of the Profs and a representative of the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). The University is located in the greater Philadelphia area in Glassboro, New Jersey just over the Delaware River and just 45 minutes from the shore.

NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS

The off season is in full swing as players go home for the summer but the work continues as we have already begun preparations for next year. Number of changes have taken fruition as the team has secured their own home locker room facilities at Hollydell. Work has begun transitioning the current space with new technologies, offices,

and other upgrades. A new team bus is also hopeful.

The team will also feature their own dedicated TV station, RowanTV, that will broadcast all the games right here on the site. "This obviously will help the program in many different aspects," head coach John Caulfield said and added, "The game broadcasting has been a great success especially with the parents who can view games online when they can't make the games." Assistant head coach Mike Husek added, "Having those kind of facilities and the prospect of having a TV source would be a great recruiting tool, especially to a lot of New Jersey players who are now thinking of staying in state because of the economy." According to the latest January NJ college rankings, Rowan Hockey is ranked 5th among 15 New Jersey hockey schools with NCAA Div I Princeton winning the top notch. Rowan is ranked 4th in the state among ACHA schools, 3rd within Division II, and 1st among MACHA conference teams. The teams above Rowan besides Princeton are WPU, Rutgers D-I, and MSU.

For any Alumni, Rowan has an Alumni Page to recognize and salute the past players and members who wore the Brown and Gold colors. Alumni are welcome to join the network and check out what we have to offer on the Alumni link from the left tool bar. To celebrate the heritage, Rowan

had their first annual Alumni Weekend in early October 2008 which was a big success. We are already organizing an Alumni Weekend 2009 which will boast a home game, an alumni game, as well a golf outing. More information will provided soon.
