DIII NEWS & TEAM INFORMATION
The Rowan D3 Team competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) D-III level where they are a member of the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC). The DVCHC is comprised of other schools in the area including Shippensburg University, Rutgers, Widener University, Lehigh, and Bryn Athyn. The team has made the league finals the last two seasons including winning the league championship in 2011.
For the 2013 season, new changes have been made at the D3 level as Rowan brings in a new head coach in Bruce Kocenski as well as a new supporting staff. Although the team has done very well the last two years, the team believed in a new direction which did not include the former coaching staff. Bruce brings in a very long hockey history to Rowan and is excited to work with the whole organization and make the D3 programone the best in the region.
Returning for another season of broadcasting Profs hockey will be IYM Sports Radio. Join Tom Willms and Matt Schwarz as they bring home the action from both the D2 and D3 programs, at home and on the road. Catch all the action right HERE
The D3 team practices twice a week and plays their home games at Hollydell Ice Arena. This year, the team has a 25 game schedule planned including games against National Divisions regular season champion Alvernia, Neumann, and Stockton. Opening night will be September 27, 2013 against the University of Delaware at 5:30 pm. The complete schedule information can be found on the left toolbar.
