2009 Alumni Weekend
Rowan Ice Hockey is proud to announce the return to the Glassboro State era by celebrating an Alumni Hockey Weekend with different festivities capped of by an Alumni game between former Glassboro State players playing current Rowan University.
The Alumni squad consists of former players from the 1982-1986 teams along with a few players from other years. A lot of the former players are traveling with their families from all over the country to participate and as a token everyone is making it a weekend event.
If you are interested in coming to watch the game, play golf, or meet for any of the get-togethers, you can email Tom Borkowski at bork16@comcast.net for more information. If you know of any other Rowan or Glassboro State hockey alumni that might be interested in participating, please spread the word and hope to see everyone there.
2009 Schedule
Friday, September 25th:
- 12:00 PM - Alumni Golf Outing - Interested parties should contact Joe Mullen (joe.mullen@usfood.com)
- 7:00 PM - Pre-game festivities
- 9:00 PM - Home Opener against tcnj at Hollydell Ice Arena - Wear your alumni jerseys
Saturday, September 26th:
- 1:30 PM - Alumni game
- 5:30 PM - Post-game activities:
- Players reception - Food, drinks, and fun
- Meeting for stories of "The Boro Days"
- 8:00 PM - Alumni Hockey get together -TBD
Sunday, September 27th:
- 10:00 AM - Rowan Hockey 9 hole Golf Outing - Pitman golf course; interested parties should contact John Caulfield
